Solved: Box Next To Column A And Above Row 1...

    Good Morning/Evening All...

What is the above mentioned "Box" called in a somewhat professional term?!

I need to explain this to people who can't tell the difference between Excel and a pizza and I go: Select the little box on the left hand side of the letter A column and above the figure 1 of row 1....

    Naturally, nobody understands a bit...

    Best,
    Wolfgang

    Wolfgang,

Tell them to select Ctrl-A, control and A, together. It is much simpler.

    Hi Bob,

    Thanks a lot...

That's what a normally do...but people are always amazed by the fact how much power there is in such a little gray box...

    Have a nice evening...

Other than that, you call call it the intersection of the row and column headers.
