Thread: repeat animation sequence on single slide

repeat animation sequence on single slide

this should be very basic. I'm no ppt whiz -but surprised I can't figure out something so simple...

have my "title page" (1st slide of deck) set up to be on screen while people enter the room. Have a series of quotes fly in and then fly out of page. At the end of the sequence I want to go back to the first quote and continue looping through, until I actually click to start presentation (advance to 2nd slide).

there must be an easy way to do this!?

As you discovered, it's anything but simple.

Your solution is to use Custom Shows and add a button to the main page to start the 2nd show. I have attached an example because there's no way I could describe this well enough in text.

Nice example TT. Just one tiny suggestion, the method depends on "loop till esc" being set and therefore the main show will loop too. This is no big deal but can cause problems with the show restarting. Try adding an "End Show" button on the last slide with no on click transition.
