    Solved: demonstration

    Hi,

Is there a way in PowerPoint to create a demonstration like the training pages Microsoft have where they have an arrow move to click a menu.

I have built a spreadsheet application thats a bit tricky and want to build a automated practical user guide that will show the user exactly what to press and almost run a demo in front of their eyes

    Thanks
    Phil

Easiest (maybe only) way is to record the screen while you demo and insert as a movie. The user will be able to pause the movie.

If you google for free screen recorders they are out there. Camstudio is an out of date version of the excellent (but expensive Camtasia) and worth looking for.

I'd go or the screen recorder approach too.

My suggestion would be to look at WINK
    (google wink, written by debugmode)
it's free and saves output as a flash file, so easy to distribute
(and modify if you have the know how!)

    Cheers

I second WINK, I have used it here a few times to demonstrate a technique.

I think Snagit also has an offer for a free version.
