How to insert calendar function in word

    Hi,

I am creating some letters in word. At the moment I am using 'drop down from field' to insert date. Is there anyway I can just select a text area that will generate a small calendar. After selecting date populates with correct date, thanks.

Inserting the current date doesn't get much simpler than that.

Put a field code Date in a template. Start your new letter with File->New and each time the date will automatically appear.

If you're looking for past/future dates, then you'll have to use a userform.

Here is a link to setting up a "pop-up" calendar in Word. Yes, Tinbendr is correct, you will have to use a userform with a Calendar control on it.

However, it is not all that difficult and it is handy to be able to insert any date.
