    cross-reference default style

    Hi All,

There does not seem to be a way of setting this under the options menu, but is there any way of setting the cross reference default style in the normal.dot template via VBA? Whenever I insert a reference it is invariably in the "only label and number" style, so I would like word to default to this.

    Cheers, Aaron

I am not following. A cross reference should take the style of the paragraph it is in.

Sorry I wasn't clear - by style I mean the "Insert Reference To" syntax (i.e., "entire caption", "only label and number"; "only caption text" etc), not paragraph style.

It's probably not possible, I certainly haven't found any reference to this nuisance anywhere else, I just thought I'd check here.
