Cool Live Excel Chat with Aaron Blood!

    Hello everybody,

It is a privilege and a pleasure to invite you all to a VBAX Live Chat with Excel wizard Aaron Blood! Aaron?s own website, www.XL-Logic.com, (born when a co-worker asked for a copy of his archived files,) has been sharing many of his top-notch Excel solutions since 1999.

In addition to his work at VBA Express, Aaron is also a contributing member at MrExcel.com, Ozgrid.com, and even has contributions on Excel legend John Walkenbach's site. Unfortunately, though, as Aaron is a very busy individual, he doesn?t get the opportunity to help people on as many posts as he'd like, so don?t miss out on your chance to tap into his Excel talent!

    Logistics:

    Date: Friday, March 18, 2005
    Duration: About 1 hour

    Time:
9:00 PM US Eastern Standard Time
    Which also works out to:
    6:00 PM Pacific Time
2:00 AM (March 19th) in London (GMT)
3:00 AM (March 19th) in Stockholm, Sweden (Sorry Dennis!)
1:00 PM (March 19th) for Sydney, Australia

For the exact date and time in your neighbourhood, please check the calendar!

Aaron also promises a surprise download for those who show up!

This event will be held in our own chat room, which is accessed by clicking the Chat link on the main navigation bar (between ?Members? and ?Arcade? menus as shown in pic below).

The requirements to run the chat room software is essentially only to have Java installed? and preferably the latest version. To download the latest Java software (it is FREE), click here

I would HIGHLY recommend that you test the chat software before you attend, just to work out any kinks before the chat starts. It?s open 24-7, so you can pop in there right now to get started, just click here!

For any who are keen to read up on the chat room features, (this is voluntary, and definitely not required!) the Chat room instructions can be found here

If you have any issues accessing the chat room at all, please Private Message me, and we?ll get it sorted out.

    Hope to see you there!

Aaron is one of those guys....I probably visited his site very early on. I was in SUCH awe. Certainly never thought I'd rub elbows, you know? But since then, I've contacted him a time or two, wanting to put links to his site and such. He's always been polite and kind. I couldn't believe when I emailed him to tell him about VBAX and he came RIGHT ON OVER HERE AND SIGNED UP. There were only a few who jumped right in when I did that, and Aaron was one of them. That was VERY COOL. Now, I feel like he's another one of us---all getting together for the "better good" of VBA.

Aaron: I'm so glad you're going to do this for us! We're honored!!

    Should be an interesting Chat.
I think one of the first things that I...requisitioned from Aaron's site was some code to get a hyperlink onto a userform (or something of that fashion).
His site has changed since those days though - should take a stroll by as I haven't been there in a long time.

I go there quite a bit. The first thing i ever boosted from his site was the Explode Add in. For anybody who writes formulas more complex than =A1+B1 it is simply a must have.

Now there's a word you just don't find used in such a context anymore...'Boosted'.

Definitely not 'yoinked' though...LMAO!! (Yoinked just sounds so criminal. )

Aha! One of our own has found a solution to one of Aaron's challenges. Look at the Advanced Range Detection item here! http://www.xl-logic.com/pages/challenge.html
