I am utilising a formula that was provided to me by XLD that worked perfectly in a previous program.
However, when I use it in this sheet it keeps giving me back the same result.

vlookup formula will always bring you up the first row meeting your criteria.
please remove that post - that's browser error.

OK,
sorry for being so dumb (It is near the end of the week)
I have changed it by putting in a counter in column A to make unique finds and now it works.
D'oh!

Unique ID is the bast idea but if you have repeating records to find you can use INDEX(MATCH) function.
Try this

Just noticed something you were doing on thw workbook, and using that approach we can be more efficient
