Solved: Sorting a column

I tried to sort a column on a comparable basis to what I found on here. However I get a runtime error. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

shPrintout.Range("G:G").Sort Key1:=shPrintout.Range("G4")

EDIT: I found that a Merged cell was the problem.

I avoid merged cells at all costs.......even if I risk making someone mad.......they are the cause of many problems when vba is implemented.
