Shapes referes to any object that is added to a worksheet, such as a square, rectangle, circle, etc. It also applies to buttons, dropdwon arrows, and so on.
What do you want to do with them.

It is difficult to give code as all code is specific to a problem. Shapes are not a problem as such, they may be part of the solution to a problem.
