    Sandam accepts promotion!

I would like to be the first to publically announce that sandam has accepted a promotion to the position of Approver!

This is a very key position to the development of this site and the Knowledge Base. With only five current Approver's, their tasks are quite heavy in front of them. These are the people that I am truly in awe of.

    Thank you and Congratulations!!!!

In case anybody was wondering what it takes to be an Approver, well here is a brief job description ...

    Approvers

The Approver group is responsible for the Knowledge Base. Any member of this group must be willing to check the Knowledge Base frequently (at least a couple times a week) for new submissions.

    General Guidelines
    * Ensure entry is complete in it's entirety.
    * Test code, directions, discussion, sample file and instructions.
    * Check the Knowledge Base for duplicates or similar entries.
    * If you are not sure if an entry should be approved contact DRJ or Firefytr.
    * Please do not edit a submission without the submitters approval.

Sorry! I've moved this thread so it doesn't pre-empt our live chat with Aaron tonight. The MOMENT the live chat is over, we should put this announcement back up in the Announcements area.

Sandam: We don't take these positions lightly! We "hire" people we think are courteous and thoughtful, seem interested in learning more about VBA, and hang out a lot! We can't have you loitering, so we put you to work! Hee hee...

We're THRILLED to have you! And honored. So forget that "I'm surprised" bit, okay?

    Congratulations!!

Glad to have you on board! I think you'll find that the crew will be glad to have another Word guy on the team!

    Cheers,

Another Word guy?... Here I am trying to understand how this cool KB submission by MD works so I can either break it or approve it when all the time we already had an approver who understands the unfathomable mysteries of Word?

What's that you say? ... Md's an approver who understands Word ... yeah, I know that, but he can't approve his own submission can he? - Well - .. .. .. DOH, I get it now!! ... (mumble, mumble, grumble, grumble (shut UP John))

    Hi, and welcome aboard Andrew!
You know you're really in trouble when the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be the headlight of a train hurtling towards you

The major part of getting the right answer lies in asking the right question...

Made your code more readable, use VBA tags (this automatically inserts [vba] at the start of your code, and [/vba ] at the end of your code) | Help those helping you by marking your thread solved when it is.

    Welcome aboard Andrew!
    Best Regards,

    Carlos Paleo.

To every problem there is a solution, even if I dont know it, so this posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties.

If Debugging is harder than writing a program and your code is as good as you can possibly make
it, then by definition you're not smart enough to debug it.

Thank you everyone for your kind welcome. I only hope that I can live up to the standards set on VBAX. I look forward to working with everyone here
Nothing annoys a non-conformist more than other non-conformists who refuse to conform to the rules of non-conformity.

Confused is my normal state of mind
