I have Excel 2003 and have recently installed 2007. The start up template no longer works for either version. I am trying to get it to work for 2003, I have placed it in every possible location 2003 would look for it but still can't get Excel to take it.
Any help that can be provided would be much appreciated.
Why is this marked solved? Did you figure out where the template needed to be? If so, can you share it with others so that if others are searching for the same problem they might benifit from your efforts?
Do you have both versions installed on the same computer and on the same partition?

After placing Book.xlt in the /document and settings/....application data/XLstart directory Excel 2003 recognized it. The install of 2007 must have moved some of the files that were there previous. Solution is to recreate the templates and place in XL start directory.
