    Solved: WEEKNUM - Excel 2003

Just a quick question that I couldn't find a quick answer to.

I have an employee that uses her personal laptop to work from home. We have a spreadsheet that use the Weeknum function. When she initially accesses the data on the spreadsheet it returns the correct values based on the last saved info.

However, as soon as she completes any update on the data (i.e., subtotals) the Weeknum function no longer works. When I try to retype or find the function manually the Weeknum function does not seem to appear (i.e., not installed) on her machine. We are both running Excel 2003 with SP3 installed.

This seems like it would be included on the basic install, but am I missing a setting in her installation options?

You need the analysis toolpak I believe for weeknum. It should be installed with 2003 but you might need to add it to your list of active addins. tools-addins.

If it is not present in the list you will have to install it from the disk

Just in case I was wrong I did have her do this yesterday, but still had the same problem. I will double check her machine later today. Can anyone confirm this that it is the Analysis Tool Pack?

Just lookup weeknum in help. It is specific.

Lucus, thanks...unfortunately, I had done this too it doesn't reference it as part of the analysis toolpack thus my assumption it was part of the standard install.

May not be the problem but it is required:

It was an installation issue with the service pack. Thanks!
