Switch off subtotal on pivot table

    Hi,

How do I stop Excel's Pivot Table from generating a subtotal of each value in the row groups? I just want to leave it blank.

    Thanks,

Select one of the sub-totals, right-click, and select hide

    Double click on that field
u will see a small form named as PivotTable Field
there on left side u can set subtotal as none

now with respect to your next query to show blank instead of subtotal--
on the same form bottom right side there is button named as Layout.
click that one & check insert blank line after each item

Hope your query will get resolved by this method
