    xls to 2007 file type

    Dear All

Is there a way of converting a directory full of xls files in to the appropriate 2007 file type without having to open each one individually.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I don't think so, because the files are different formats.

You could create a macro to carry out the task, using Open/SaveAs commands, unless you were trying to avoid opening in this sense also.
