accessing gmail attachments

Hello,
Every morning I receive a particular email with an attachment. I would like to use vba (from excel) to automate the opening of this particular email and save the attachment to a specific folder.

I have no idea where to begin. Is there sample code somewhere that I might be able to use? Does anybody have any advice or suggestions?

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Ooops! I would like to open the email using GMAIL, btw.

Not that I can help with the end product, but the following information would be good to know.
How are you accessing gmail? Are you using the browser only or do you download your email using Outlook or another like program?

I use IE to access gmail.
