    is there a way to poll data from pdf file with vba?

    i need to pull data.
    i tried to get file open with excel and when the data is brought to excel sheet i get jibrish.

    I am trying to bring the pdf data to
    excel sheet like i am doing with text file
    so far not without successes.

    I don't think scanned documents will ever work. If it is a pdf print document, there are third party applications which say they will export to text format, but unless the data layout is very simple, I would not think you'll get a usable result.
    MVP (Excel 2008-2010)

    Post a workbook with sample data and layout if you want a quicker solution.

    if i need to pull the data out of pdf file to excel sheet.

    Depending upon the third party export, you could use code to assist. Can't tell without seeing what you have.
