    Solved: Two Slide Masters?

Our template has three items in the slide master, a .jpg running down the left side, then a .jpg logo and our tag line along the bottom.

I have told we have to be able to have slides that can "turn off" the logo and tag line and only have the .jpg on the left side.

I thought I might be able to run two slide masters in a presentation and choose what master to use for each sheet, but have been unsuccessful. Is this possible?

If you're running PowerPoint XP or 2003 then use can have multiple masters and select which ones apply to specified slides in the presentation. This feature may be disabled - go to Tools>Options>Edit tab to check.

Otherwise, you'll have to use some kind of workaround, like setting the DisplayMasterShapes property for the slide to false (you'll then have to add the sidebar image to that slide).

How do you choose which master to use on each slide?

    Hello Killian,

I can view two different master slides, but I have not been able to apply two different masters in the same presentation. I have not found anything in the help files. I would think if they allow two masters you should be able to pick and choose which one you want to use within the same presentation?

    Hi,

Couldn't find the right translation (my office is Dutch) so I looked for a link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/office/prev...powerpoint.asp

Scroll to the title: More Design Options For Your PowerPoint Presentation
to read the how to part.

    Enjoy!

    Hello Joost Verdaasdonk:

It took a little doing, but I finally figured out how to apply the master with the link you provided. Thank you very much. I will go back and mark the thread solved.

Thanks again to you both for helping!
