How to Use the Format Painter Selectively

I have in cell A1 formatting that includes both conditional formats and “permanent” formats (like font size and number or date formats). I would like to copy all formats EXCEPT conditional formats from cell A1 to a bunch of other cells leaving their conditional formats unchanged. Can that be done or does Format Painter copy all formats no matter what is present?

    Hi Sid,
You could create a Style base on the first cell. This does not transfer the conditional formatting.
