Help with installation

I have written an application (.exe) in VB6, which I would like to link to only computer(s) I prefer. My question is could I link the application with the ID of the computer only, therefore other computers could not run it, or other ways I could do it other than using password. (if yes how could I retrieve the ID of that computer !?)
