    Solved: Address Division and Reorganization

    Good day,

Another week, another problem! This is complicated. I hope I describe it well.

I have a spreadsheet with many rows (1000's) and two sets of address fields whose characteristics span 6 columns. As of now, the first address fields are PRIMARY addresses and the second are mostly blank, SECONDARY addresses. Somehow I need to separate home addresses (with their column attributes) and business addresses (with their column attributes) from both into separate BUSINESS/HOME areas instead of PRIMARY/SECONDARY as it is setup now. Note that if a primary set contains a business address, the secondary set will not contain a business address; it will either be home or blank. And vice versa, if a primary set contains home address, the secondary set will contain business or blank.

    NOW:
    PRIMARY
    1|Business Address | 123 Grove St. | New York | NY | 01011 | USA
    2|Home Address | 654 Oak St. | Boston | MA | 32456 | USA
    3|Business Address | 81 Main St. | Seattle | WA | 14643 | USA
    4|Business Address | 987 West St. | Miami | FL | 69434 | USA
    5|Business Address | 534 East St. | Miami | FL | 69432 | USA
    6|Business Address | 1 GM. Rd. | Detroit | MI | 85345 | USA
    SECONDARY
    1| | | | | |
    2|Business Address | 945 Smith St.| Boston | MA | 32456 | USA
    3|Home Address | 12 Tree Rd. | Tacoma | WA | 14641 | USA
    4|
    5|
    6|Home Address | 97 Key St. | Detroit | MI | 04232 | USA

    HOW IT SHOULD LOOK:
    BUSINESS
    1|Business Address| 123 Grove st. etc.
    2|Business Address| 945 Smith St. etc.
    3|Business Address| 81 Main St. etc...
    4| Business Address| 987 West St. etc.....
    HOME
    1| | | | | (Blank)
    2| Home Address| 654 Oak St. etc.
3| Home Address | 12 Tree Rd. etc.
    4| |||||(Blank)
    5| (Blank)
    6| Home Address| 97 Key St. etc.

I hope this makes sense. Any help anyone can contribute would be appreciated. Even if anyone knows of a good resource for excel formulas and can direct me there that would be awesome.

    Thank you so much
