    A1=0
    A2=10
    A3=Avg(A1:A2) '5


    A1=5
    A2=10
    A3=Avg(A1:A2) '7.5

    Sum of range devided by number of entrys

    In Excel, =AVG(somerange) after pressing the Enter key and saying Yes will correct it to =AVERAGE(somerange). Help will first show the AVERAGE function.

    AVG in other spreadsheet programs like Lotus123 and QuattroPro means the @AVG(somerange).
