    icon issues!

    Hi,

Is it possible to change the Access icon so that it is a different picture in Explorer (i.e. it looks like an application rather than an access database)

In Access Options I change the 'Application Icon' picture but this seems to only change the image in the taskbar rather than the picture of the database in explorer

    Thanks
    Phil

The only way I know to do this is right click on the Access DB, go to properties, and change the icon there.

You can run Access Developer Extensions and turn it into an actual application.
    Someday I'll understand everything...
    Even then...I'll still pretend I'm a beginner.

Hm.. you can not really turn an Access database into a actual application.

You can use the Developer extensions to package your database with the Access runtime. But it is still requires Access (runtime or Full/Retail).

About the icon associated with Access databases:
It displays the Access Icon from the MSAccess.exe file.
