Creating a dynamic chart using the value of a data validation

Pls help, I need to create a MS Excel chart from the current value of a data validation list.The chart should show an upward movement and its a single line chart,its meant to show the movement from the starting point to the end point.

how about attaching a workbook? Otherwise, it becomes extremely hard to figure out what you want. BTW, charts are best if you have numbers to plot. The text above is, well, text.
