    Importing From txt File

Hi I am new here and I am not sure how to put this.

I have only been introduced to VBA a few weeks ago but I have to import some data into a system from a .txt file. The file is a list of names and each name has either a number 2 or a number 1 next to them depending on what group they are in. Group one must be placed in one area of the sheet and group 2 in another.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks

Greetings jord and welcome to the forum. :-)

I would suggest that you replicate the txt file with the same delimiters in the real one and some fake names, and put it in a zip file and attach it to your next post. That way, we can see exactly what your trying to do.

Also, when you say Group1 in one area and Group 2 in another, does that mean in the next column or ???

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for replying, I managed to sort it out in the end it was just a simple error when I was trying to set the count as I didn't realise I hadn't set it to 0.
