Sleeper: Excel Reverting to all values

Hi All

I'm having a strange problem at work.

I have an initial s/s A that has external links to several s/s including s/sB which is password protected & readonly

Using FSO's, I'm copying that initial s/sA to another folder and then changing a few cells using vba

However in that copied s/s, the values that are still linked to s/sB have reverted to some old values.

If I open s/sB and then run the macro that does the copy & update, then the values don't revert.

Does anyone know how to avoid values reverting to some old values?

Do you need them to be linked? If not then just use values instead of formulas linking the data.

I probably could but it's mostly about keeping audit trails

This does not seem to be a common problem based on the lack of responses
