    Solved: 2007 Menus

    Hi,

is it possible to disable some of the menu options (Developer, View, Review etc) on the 2007 ribbon?

I've realised that users will be able to see background pages in my application using Review/Next and I don't want them to be able to do it.

    any help gratefully received.

    You don't have a ribbon with 2003!

No, what I meant was, to disable the menu's in 2007, it needs to be saved as a .xlms file rather than .xls. Which then doesn't work in 2003.

I have two files, a 2003 file which does the work, and if opened in 2003 it does my menu bits, else it opens a new specific 2007 file.

    Have you tried conditional compilation?

I have no idea what that means. I was going to produce 2 versions of the same workbook.

ARe you disabling the 2007 ribbon tabs via code or in the XML? If the former, we should be able to run that from an xlks. If the latter, we need the two files, but the 2007 version is very light.
