    Open Workbook at Specific Sheet

    Hi

    Excel 2000 Win7

    On this page on forum
    http://www.vbaexpress.com/kb/getarticle.php?kb_id=338

It advises how to open wb at spec;if sheet. It works great on sample file.

Hoever I cannot get it to work on my wb. Have followed the instructions and the only two things I am not sure on are:
Instructions: Not sure what Project Explorer is ? nothing by that name on my Excel VBE.
On the sample file the selection box across the top says 'Workbook' whereas on mine vbe it says 'General'

    Any comments appreciated.

    Regards

    Charlie Harris

Normally your screen is divided in two (or three) areas. Left side/right side/bottom.
    - When you push alt+F11 you are in the vbe editor
    - When you push ctrl+r that's the project explorer

In excel you have on the left side some kind of map : excel objects
    - click on the + then you'll see sheet1, sheet2 ...
    - you have to double click on thisworkbook

In right side, the general will become workbook and you have two comboboxes on top of that screen. right combobox is the one where you choose the open area for a workbook = the things a workbook will do when you open it (if macros are enabled).

Using XL2010 but I think the VBE interface is very similar, instruction 3 says:"In the VBE window, select Tools/Project Explorer " but I think it's: "In the VBE window, select View/Project Explorer".
    (Ctrl+r does the same)

Also instruction 4.:"Select the ThisWorkbook module", selecting is not enough, you should double-click it.

It does appear that I have been in the wrong place!
