Is it possible to do automation to control another application through vba code?
Is it possible to create an automation that controls another application through code? For example, in VBA in Access, can you start an instance of Excel, open a workbook, update some information based on the queries, display the results in access then save and close it. I have queries in access which I link to Excel however, I would like to update the queires auotmatically and then be displayed in excel based on dates of new data from the queries. I'm a little limited in vba...if so, would you have any sample data to perform this? I am using Excel and Access 2010. And this process will be very useful and save a lot of time...
