Change cell rule from list to ranged cell automatically

    Hi,

Is it possible to change a cell rule from list to ranged cell (and vice versa), depending on another cell value?

For example, in case that in cell A1 there's value "X" then cell B1
    is from type list.
in case that in cell A1 there's value "Y" then cell B1 is from type ranged cell.

    Thanks,

Can you perhaps explain what precisely you mean by "type ranged cell"?

I presume that you are referring to Data Validation, so you could use a type of List with a formula something like

    =IF($A$1="x",M1:M5,$A$2)

    Thanks for your answers.
I Meant that I have cell#1 that its type is a list or a regular cell, depends on cell#2 value.
