See the previous post by Herve for getting a webpage url. http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43762
The referenced link in thread 43762 just gets one url. Additional code is needed to make sure that the active Internet Explorer window's url is found. There could be several IE windows open.
If you go to the trouble of selecting something in a web page, a copy like Ctrl+C and then a paste Ctrl+V seems simple enough.
