    Connecting Excel to Powerpoint

Well since you have a chart and you wish to display within Powerpoint, what I have done in the past and should work for you is create the chart in Excel as you have done, then open your powerpoint presentation, select the slide you wish to place it in. If you already have a chart in place, delete the old one.
Copy the chart from within Excel and then on the powerpoint slide paste special and use the fourth icon under the paste options , it will say "Keep Source formatting and Link data".
Now everytime you update your spreadsheet chart, the powerpoint will update as well.

    Hope this helps!
I could not open you VBA code as you mention, its asking for a password!

    Good Luck
