    Smile Sleeper:Power Pivot

    Dear Friends,

I just joined VBA Express Forum.

I am using Power Pivot Tool for Financial Analysis. Would like to send parameters viz., from date and to date and from customer and to customer etc.,

Can I do this in pivot Pivot. I tried but without success.

    Regards

    Mohan

    Mohan,

It can be done I am sure, but where depends on what you need to do specifically. Probably, you would setup a pivot with slicers for customers/dates.

Maybe more details on what you have, what you want, and your Excel version would help.

Thanks. I am working as head of finance for retail company. We have 135 stores across the country with huge number of transactions. Over 60 GB in one year We are using Microsoft Dynamics (AX system). I am fairly good in writing SQL statements. Presently I am using power Pivot tool for data mining. What I would like to do is passing parameters into SQL, so that number of transactions will be less. I understand learning VB will ease my advantageous (in particular ado controls).
