I routinely have to edit PPT files that come from other creators. The bulk of the slides contain text boxes and background images. These background images as usually such that half of the background is a solid color and the other half is the picture in the background.

When I edit them so that the text is not covering the image, the text spills off the bottom of the slide. Changing the font/size is not a viable option because I don't want to reduce readability. Also, the background need to stay as they are as well.

Is there a way to make a macro that will:
1. Cut selected text - the text that doesn't fit in the adjusted text box.
2. Duplicate the current slide.
3. Paste the cut text into the text box of the duplicated slide.

I am learning Excel macros but I have no experience with creating a macro in PPT. Is this possible?
