    Upgraded Forums

I have updated the site to vbulletin 4.2. I will be working on getting things all setup but for now the site seems to function once again, after some work.

If you notice any errors or features that are no longer available let me know and I will see about adding them back.

it's prettier and seems to work a little smoother, but the icons are not showing

if I click on one, sometimes it will become visible

is there a IE setting or display setting that I need to tweak?

It seems like the smileys work if there is text already. If you try to add it to a blank message it doesn't seem to get added.

    Hi DRJ,
I get notification of a Private Message, but when I go to view, I get an error page, the same applies to old and new messages. This is the message I get:

Warning: fetch_template() calls should be replaced by the vB_Template class. Template name: newpost_quote in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 4591

Fatal error: Call to undefined function construct_editor_styles_js() in /home/vbaexpr1/public_html/forum/private.php(1645) : eval()'d code on line 69

I've also received a Inbox full to 90% message but can't do anything about it.

If I've helped and you can't be bothered to acknowledge it, I can't be bothered to look at further posts from you.

Plenty of errors in going over all the private messages at the moment. Just need some time to rectify.

I'm not a Smiley kind of guy

Actually I was asking about the 3 rows of [buttons] just above the message text area

I can see the words or icon for [Font] and [Size] and [Outdent] and 1 or 2 two others.

    The rest are 'whited out'

Give it a week or so. There's a lot of code to port over.

Hi DRJ, I can't seem to find the threads I posted and my profile also does not show, instead it gives error messages. I miss the list of new posts with the statistics like we used to have. Feel a bit lost in this new format. Maybe more general search options would be nice, like searching for own threads, etc.

    Regards
    vanhunk

    vanhunk,

You can find your threads under 'Quick Links | Subscribed Threads'

    Or

My Profile | Find Latest Posts

BTW, when you click on my profile it shows 2 / 3 error messages at the top but it works anyway.

In the profile on the left, find latest posts / started threads.

I fixed the errors on the profile page. Also added the Mark Thread Solved option back.

Paul, what browser are you using? I see the icons for B, I, U, font, size and so on and none are blocked out for me.

Ringhal, thanks I see those. vBulletin 4 changed how you can get variables to resolve so I have to go through and change those things.

I will be continuing to update this.

If you see any other pages that give errors like the member page let me know.

    Thanks

I see 8 times the webpage's head, containing logo, welocme, snb, notification, my profile, settings, logout
4 times at the top, 3 times at the bottom
Loading a page is slow (too many pictures to load), scrolling the page is also very slow.

In the future I wouldn't mind a quick button for "Zero Reply Posts" instead of using "Advanced Search" .
