    A lot of the errors were caused by old plugins that are not compatible. I have disabled those and will work on updating them but in the mean time there hopefully shouldn't be any more error messages. If there are let me know.

    Fixed the stats for the portal page.

    No improvement.
    In every placeholder for an advertisement the VBAex logo appears.
    Loading the google ads seems to be a problem (I log in from Europe).
    The amount of ads seems to be increased substantially. ( I woulnd't mind an ad free forum)

    I always used the customized 'yellow/gold' style to view this forum. Now there's only 1 (less preferable) style.

    I have made some other adjustments. What do you see now? Sorry I can't reproduce this myself so it is difficult.

    the old styles were not compatible. Once I get the default style all setup, all templates done, I can make different color schemes. But that probably won't be for a few weeks.

    Jake, the Calendar function seems to be limited to 2008 and earlier.

    I added the Code and HTML tags to the quick reply box, the VBA tags were custom and need to be updated for the new version.

    Other sites work well with Excel Jeanie (http://www.excel-jeanie-html.de/index.php?f=1) and HTML Maker but vbaExpress never has - any chance of this changing?

    Hi Pascal,

    Just to mention in case you had not tried it... With HTML Maker, if you use the 'Convert ... to BB Code', and plunk the results in Code tags, it comes out quite nicely imho. Correct spacing and color to boot :-) I just delete the Face tags.

    The problems at the top seem to have been solved.
    The repeating logo's at the bottom remain in the forumdisplay.php template.

    DRJ -- I'm using IE9 at home.

    In 'Not [Go Advanced] i can see the one row of icons, but when I'm Advanced, almost all fade out

    Can you post a screenshot of the advanced icons. I use IE9 and don't see the issue. Also what OS in case that ends up being an issue as well.

    It's starting to look and work good.

    I like the code tags with VBAHTMLMaker since I often use unconventional indenting to highlight certain sections of code.

    I don't know how hard it is to port the VBA tags, but in the meantime it might be simple to write a script that substituted code tags for vba tags, in pages that have them, as text blobs are called from the database. The only purpose would be to format old style pages for viewing until you get the vba tags ported over.

    While we're talking about code tags, is it hard increase their content's text size by 1 ?
    I expect the student to do their homework and find all the errrors I leeve in.

    DRJ -- don't know if this helps, but right after the post, the icons faded out / disappeared even in not advanced

    Do you think there is some Vista or NVidia setting that affects this?

    I have asked about the faded buttons. Can you try in different browsers as well, Chrome and / or Firefox.

    For the HTML Maker the reason we never used it is allowing HTML can open up exploits in the forum for people to run undesired code. Mr. Excel ran into some issues and not sure if the HTML maker was the culprit or not but allowing HTML does pose problems.

    I will look into it and see how the new forum version handles this. Perhaps the security is better.

    VBAHTMLMaker converts vba code to BB code or html code. The html output doesn't work at all well with vbulletin 4.2, but the BB output looks great inside the new vbulletin code tags. Not so hot without being enclosed in code tags.

    html: no code tags
    <font face=Courier New><SPAN style="color:#00007F">Sub</SPAN> testhtml()<br><SPAN style="color:#00007F">Dim</SPAN> var<br> <SPAN style="color:#00007F">Set</SPAN> var = Range("A1")<br><SPAN style="color:#00007F">End</SPAN> <SPAN style="color:#00007F">Sub</SPAN></FONT>

    html w/code tags
    <font face=Courier New><SPAN style="color:#00007F">Sub</SPAN> testhtml()<br><SPAN style="color:#00007F">Dim</SPAN> var<br> <SPAN style="color:#00007F">Set</SPAN> var = Range("A1")<br><SPAN style="color:#00007F">End</SPAN> <SPAN style="color:#00007F">Sub</SPAN></FONT>
    BB: No code tags
    [face=Courier New]Sub testBB()
    Dim var
    Set var = Range("A1")
    End Sub[/face]

    BB w/Code tags
    [face=Courier New]Sub testBB()
    Dim var
     Set var = Range("A1")
    End Sub[/face]
    Use Code tags and delete the BB [Face} tags
    I expect the student to do their homework and find all the errrors I leeve in.
