Excel 2010 Protect Existing Row, Allow New Rows

I made an excel sheet for scaffolding rate calculations containing numerous formulas with if conditions. I already finished putting the data and formulas. I want to protect the sheet containing the old data and enable other users to insert rows which will copy the formulas on the rows above the newly inserted rows and also the newly inserted rows must be by default unlocked so that other users will be able to input new data on the worksheet.

Hi and welcome to VBA Express.

"Help in Excel 2010" is not very informative, so I changed the title of your thread so people would know what kind of help you need.

You should be able to select the rows you want to protect and just lock them using the Excel menu. Unfortunately, I am using Excel XP (2002) and don.t have access to the 2010 menus, so I can't tell you exactly how to find the one you need.
I expect the student to do their homework and find all the errrors I leeve in.
