    Solved: Data Access Page question

    Data Access Page question
    hello all helpers,

Refer to the title as have read some related internet info. Got a query as below need somebody help.....

    - if the Access program using Data Access Page and putting in a file server, then at client side, can the client using a Browser (say IE) only to open the Access program and do add, edit, view or manupulate current data in the Access Database ???

(The reason asking major is to find out if anyway to save for Access licenses at client sides.)

Thanks in advance for any tips....!

Have you created an executable and ran it with the runtime?

    hi........tks for the adv.

you mean runtime can allow a PC (which didn't have Access installed) to run Access Application under a file server environment but need to compile the Access program to become an executable file beforehand. ?

i checked some info. from the net that seems runtime features only available in office2003, does 2000 ver. also have ? We only got Office2000 only and seems didn't see any runtime features ?

besides, any other alternatives to do without the need to make an Executive file so that it will be more easy to do modification directly on program during running.....Tks. in advanced any further adv.

Is the support from MS really necessary? Anyway, I say give it a try. Make an .ade/mde and try it out!
