Thread: Form Export / Import

  1. #1

    Form Export / Import

Running Excel 2011 on Mac OS 10.9.1.

I have a code module and form I would like to move to another workbook. I export the code and the form with no problem. I can import the code into the new workbook, but it won't recognize my form files to let me import them. Is this a known issue?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Sam, when you Export a form or procedure, a "file" is created that should be able to be imported into another workbook.

I've actually found the VBA / Mac experience so frustrating, I've installed Parallels and Windows on my MacBook. I love the Mac, for EVERYTHING other than Office. VBA is so much better under Windows that I'm still happy even adding the extra overhead...

The problem was solved by switching operating systems, but still there for folks using VBA with MacOS.

When selecting "Import" the dialog comes up, but won't let me select the form file, the file just stays grayed out. Works perfectly using the same workbook and same form when running under windows and Excel 2010...

Interesting. Is it a particular form, or any form? Also, was it created in Mac or Windows originally?
