    MacBook Pro Comparison

I realize this isn't the typical question to post...but you guys have been my go-to and trust your opinion over other sites/forums.

I have the following options for my office workstation...a 13in retina MBP and a 15in retina MBP.
The 15in has an i7...the laptop will most likely be docked with a 27in monitor...but I want to be able to take my code with me incase i need to write or run code in non-business hours.

I prefer the smaller size, but will the better processor increase my speed when running my macros? Also is there any reason to get more than 8GB RAM?

If it were up to me I would get a PC, but company is all in on apple =/

    Let me know your thoughts.

    You guys roxx!!!

I have a 15" MacBook Pro Retina. With the overall weight of Macs, I opted for the 15" as it is still very light. The better processor will always run faster, but it may not be that noticeable. I would just rather have the larger screen when travelling.

I got 16Gb because I need to run Power Pivot against large data sets.

Yes, Windows 7 emulated in Fusion. Power Pivot and most of what I do doesn't work in Mac excel.
