    Break/remove link

There is a link in my spreadsheet:

I don't want it to be there. I have tried searching all the sheets for "!", "xls", etc. but can't find it. Is there any way to locate it/delete it from the dialog shown above, or from some other dialog for that matter?

Any defined names, conditional formatting, data validation or charts in the workbook?

Why not clicking 'Break Link' ?

    Thanks for your replies!

Conditional formatting might be the thing. No charts, and I've removed the data validation.

Clicking "Break Link" doesn't seem to work, the update message still pops up every time the workbook is opened.

Clicking break link is something I never recommend, you never know what you will "break" in your file (anything linked will revert to fixed values, like charts).
Download findlink by Bill Manville, it will tell you exactly where the link is located. www.manville.org.uk
