    Question Can we conclude that there is no way to refer a variable using string?

    and Eval is not avaiable in excel 2007? You know... Like Eval("wb" & Bookname).sheets(1).cells.usedrange

    Any other alternatives? Not even in latest versions of Office?

    2. Excel VBS has Application, Worksheet, and Chart .Evaluate methods

    3. If Excel, then there is the INDIRECT() function that might be helpful
