Outlook 2010 - cannot create macro

When I press Alt + F8, i see a list of various options:

Run
Cancel
Edit
Step Into.
...etc

However the button for Create is greyed out. I'm trying to record a macro but since this button is greyed out, there's no way I can record my steps. Any suggestions?

There is no macro recorder in Outlook 2010, however ALT+F11 should open the VBA editor for you to enter your own code.
