Combine cell with same text

I have a table that is constructed in vba (word). After the table is constructed I would like to merge the relevant cells and center any matching text horizontally and vertically.

An example illustrates my question better (see image). The first table is what I have and I want it to come out like the second table. For instance, where you see Mount Height = 170.0 or Mount Type = Pipe. I need to use vba code of course.
