HELP_Excel chart with X and Y values in the same series.

Good afternoon.
I having a problem here.... i asked to create a excel chart getting values from a GENERAL DATA VALUE and creating a control to change only the limits of values....
He had created but i couldn't understand how it was done.


First: He inserted X values and Y values in the same Series. How can i do that?
Second: how the "controle" tab was linked to the chart? if you change the time it will change the chart automatically.
Third: he created a column in the "dados gerais" tab: COLUMN F with the formula A+B... why he had to do it?


I'm attaching the excel file to show to you guys.
Could anyone help me to explain how it was done?
