    Open excel template in existing workbook

    Hello

    Wondering if anyone can help me,

    I have created a reporting template on excel and saved it as a template, it has 3 sheets. I would like to be able to input this template into another existing workbook on new sheets and not delete the existing workbooks current data.

    I was wondering if anyone knows of a way of doing this as i will need to create around 50 of these a month?

    Many thanks

    Emily

    Is it a macro template? Do macros need to be copied over as well? What about sheet names. Will the template sheet names have a potential to already exist in the workbook they will be copied to?

    Copying the sheets is easy enough on the face of it though. The issues above are so we lose as little face as possible....

    did you try ?

    sheets.add type:= "G:\OF\template_snb.xlsx"
    PS. the Excel 'template' xltx or xltm doesn't mean very much (unlike templates in Word). You can use .xlsx or xlsm or xlsb as well.
