Extracting data from a table
Hi,
I have data in a table format in Sheet2.
In Sheet2
|
B |
C |
D |
E |
F |
1 |
January |
|
Rome |
Milan |
Florence |
2 |
|
apples |
10 |
11 |
12 |
3 |
|
pears |
7 |
2 |
4 |
4 |
|
melons |
1 |
2 |
3 |
5 |
|
|
|
|
|
6 |
|
|
|
|
|
7 |
|
|
|
|
|
8 |
February |
|
Rome |
Milan |
Florence |
9 |
|
apples |
17 |
10 |
4 |
10 |
|
pears |
3 |
6 |
5 |
11 |
|
melons |
4 |
1 |
6 |
The months are in column B the fruit names in column C and the cities in columns F, G and H.
I would like a formula which we use in Sheet1 that gives me the number of pears in Milan for the month of February.
The formula should follow this logic:
1. Look for month February (from column B Sheet2)
2. Go to Milan (in that row)
3. Give me number of pears related to Milan (ie.6)
What is best formula to use?
Thanks,
