Excel VBA Charts to powerpoint

I have an excel spread sheet that creates a chart from data that is supplied for specific jobs. I am able to export the chart to powerpoint but I want to be able to add the charts to a slide template I have saved called Temp.potx. As yet i am only able to add the chart to a blank slide. I have no idea how to import the layout and design of my template into each slide added. Is this possible?
