Is there a way to programmatically force two tables instead of merge?

I select a table (that is exactly one page long). I copy the table. I move a character to right. I insert a page break. I paste the table -> I have one table (double long compared to the original, the page break is also gone).

So how do I tell Word programmatically that "yeah, I do understand you might want to auto-merge the tables, but even if you feel so, don't"?
