    Changing Hotkeys in Access

We all know that pressing F11 will display/hide the Navigation Pane. The problem is that we all know this.

Is there a way that the Hotkeys can be changed so that certain features are available but much harder to find for some users?

For example: I have an application that hides the Navigation Pane for some very specific reasons. Users are constantly changing queries and/or table structures because they think they are experts. What they are really doing is screwing up the system.

What I would like to do is change the hotkey so certain people can use it but make it unknown to others.

You can turn off all the hot keys in the database using top left Office button that controls how Access works with "The Current Database", it is above the tick box for the Navigation Pane.
If that is not satisfactory there may be other methods like using the keycode function.

It really is a pity that they did away with the Access 2000 User/Workgroup Security as that stopped users doing anything you didn't want them to.

PS, you can also use an Autoexec Macro to call code to remove both the ribbon and Office Button.
