Complicated formula, i'm at a loss

I'm trying to work out a solution to combine formulas in two cells so I can do away with some columns and add in some variable.
The cell where the formula is required is "AI8", at the moment the formulas in columns X and Y work out a value which incorporates the variables in AG3:AG4. Then AI8 takes that value and multiplies it by the appropriate value in the 'points' table, and sums all the rows in the table.

I'd like to be able to take the values from the same column in the range AI3:AP11, rather than AG3:AG4.

Sheet attached if anyone can help.

I don't follow what you need. The formula in AI8 doesn't appear to use X or Y at all.
Be as you wish to seem
